Ruth 1:16–17 WEB
16Ruth said, “Don’t urge me to leave you, and to return from following you, for where you go, I will go; and where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people, and your God my God. 17Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the LORD do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me.”

Context
Ruth, a widow from Moab, refuses to leave her widowed mother-in-law Naomi and commits herself to Naomi's people and God. The vow is often read at weddings, but in the story it is spoken by a daughter-in-law to her mother-in-law.
