Genesis 38 · Ruth 4 · 1 Chronicles 2
The Family of Judah
Judah's sons, Tamar's twins Perez and Zerah, and the line from Perez to David.
Judah had three sons by the daughter of Shua: Er, Onan and Shelah. Tamar, Er's widow, bore him the twins Perez and Zerah. Genesis 38:1–301 Chronicles 2:3–4
The line of Perez leads to Boaz, who married Ruth, and through Obed and Jesse to David. Ruth's closing verses give this line as ten generations. Ruth 4:18–22
