The Story of Bartholomew
Also: Bartholomayo (Kiswahili), Nathanael
One of the twelve apostles, named in each list of the twelve.
Editorial text in English. Scripture is quoted from the version you choose; references stay the same in every version.
Introduction
Bartholomew is named among the twelve apostles in the Gospels and Acts, always after Philip. Nothing else is recorded under this name. Matthew 10:3Mark 3:18Luke 6:14Acts 1:13
Many identify him with Nathanael, whom Philip brought to Jesus, because John names Nathanael and never Bartholomew. This is an inference, not a statement of the text. John 1:45–49John 21:2
